Can't achieve your goals?

OK, so it’s January 31st, you are full of hope, wanting a change, motivated and excited. You have given yourself a goal, a change in behaviour or state of mind that is going to set you up for the year and the rest of your life. Fast forward 3 or 4 months and feel like you have achieved nothing?

If you want to achieve your goal still, then this article may help.


Here are some questions to help you reconnect with or start your goal:



  • Look at your goal, what was it? Write it down, get it out of your head and bring it into the real world.


  • ·Do you want to achieve it? Often people feel pressured to make changes when they don’t want to.


  • Do you deserve to achieve this goal? Take a deep hard look and take some time to think about whether you are sabotaging your success.


  • Is it practical? Do you have time to do this? Is there space in your life to do this?


  • If you started it, how did it feel and what helped? Can these be replicated and repeated? How will you remember how this felt?


  • If you didn’t start, then how would it feel to take that first step?


  • What stopped you? How can/will you overcome this in the future?


Just answering these questions may help make a change in you mindset and allow you to take or continue to take steps towards your goal.
